Having seen how many companies operate, what they do right, and what they do wrong, we’ve reached the conclusion that success or failure depends on four key domains:
1) Strategy – Is the business strategy the right one, at the right time, given the environment you are in (and do you review it often enough)
2) People – do your people understand and believe in the strategy you’ve chosen, do you have the right team to implement it?
3) Processes – are the business processes you have the right ones to support the strategy, or are they outdated and complex?
4) Systems – do you have the right IT systems to support your core strategy, are you using IT effectively to make your strategy work and to reduce repetitive and low value work of your people so they can focus on the important tasks?
